The Webster Fire-Brick and Coal Company was organized in the fall of 1869, the officers being John Bennett, President George Edmunds, Secretary and W.S. Some old settlers who's lives date back to early childhood in Bloom Township were: John Bennett, Madison Cole, John Phillips, Washington Richey, Dr. Among those who were there from 1805 to 1810 were: Samuel Baker, Samuel Bennett, Benjamin Bennett, Jr., Joshua Gilman, John Bennett, Mr. There were enough, however, to organize a township August, 1812. The settlement of Bloom Township was at an early day, but the date of arrival of the first pioneer was not obtainable.
The township covers a little less than 49 square miles. The sheriff’s office also provided an update on the cat, saying it was quickly located and is safe and uninjured.This township is noted for its great deposits of iron ore, coal and fire-clay. The person who filmed the incident has reportedly been cooperating with investigators and will have charges reviewed by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office. The juvenile has since been booked into the Juvenile Justice Center. The sheriff’s office reported that within 24 hours after receiving the original video, they had successfully identified both the juvenile in the video and the male who filmed the incident.
